Rose State College, originally named as Oscar Rose Junior College offers the Legal Assistant Program, which was the first of its kind in Oklahoma. Implemented upon the guidance of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Legal Assistant Program has been approved by the American Bar Association since 1976.

Program Details

The Legal Assistant Program is a degree program that can be completed in a two-year period. An Associate Degree course in Applied Science, the Legal Assistant Program offered by the Rose State College’s Business Division, Oklahoma offers both day and evening schedules.

Designed strictly for those willing to take up employment as legal assistants and / or paralegals, the Legal Assistant Program is not meant for Attorneys. To secure a seat with the Rose State College in the Associate Degree course for paralegal training, applicants must abide with among one of the two available options. Option I requires that the candidates must produce a High School transcript or GED certificate & transcript, ACT Reading score of 19 or COMPASS Reading Test score of 83. Option II on the other hand, seeks a College transcript with 15 credit hours or more and a grade point average of minimum 2.5.

Paralegal is an upcoming field and requires every inch of specialization. The same has been given due importance at the Rose State College, wherein the program offers necessary education and technical skills.
