Description

Established in 1842, Villanova University is located in the state of Pennsylvania and is closely affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church. It is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and currently caters to over 6000 postgraduate and undergraduate students. Degree programs are available in a number of fields including commerce and finance, nursing and engineering.

Villanova University has consistently held the number one position in the U.S. News and World Report for the Best Universities-Masters category. It is also home to the largest student-organized Special Olympics Festival in the world. The university has recently renovated its library, which contains over 800,000 volumes.

Students who are looking to pursue a career as a paralegal or legal assistant can apply for the paralegal certificate program, which is offered through the continuing studies wing of Villanova University. This certificate course is approved by the American Bar Association and is available in full-time and part-time classes, to suit student's needs.

The course familiarizes students with legal procedure as well as office management skills such and organizing, filing and analyzing legal documents. Subjects such as drafting documents, legal principles and legal theories are also taught, with a special focus on finding suitable employment options for students after graduation.
