San Francisco State University’s Paralegal Studies Program, as extended by the College of Extended Learning is an American Bar Association approved program. The only ABA approved Paralegal Studies Program in San Francisco, provides various Paralegal Certification programs and non-certification courses. Paralegal Program – Key Highlights The Paralegal Studies Program at the San Francisco University – College of Extended Learning, is a 30 academic unit certificate curriculum. Member of the American Association for Paralegal Education (AAfPE), the program has also been accredited through San Francisco State University by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The courses covered in the program are conducted at the upper division and are drafted to impart quality education to tomorrow’s professionals. In addition to working extensively on the course content, the University’s administration has given due importance to the educators. Attorneys and experienced paralegals have been delegated the task of preparing students enrolled in the Paralegal Studies Program to occupy core positions as Paralegals / Legal Assistants. The San Francisco State University’s Paralegal Certification course offers complete flexibility to the students. The 30 academic unit course can be completed in a short duration of about 12 – 18 months or can be finished in 7 years. Apart from the mentioned certification course, interested students can be a part of the Paralegal Studies Program by applying for selected course in the section. This is especially for those, who already have substantial experience in the legal domain.
