Description
Cerritos Community College is located in the city of Norwalk in California, USA. It was established in 1955 to serve the students of the southeastern part of Los Angeles County. The college offers degrees and certificates in 87 different areas of study through its nine divisions. Every year, around 1,200 students graduate from the college. It is accredited by the Northwestern Association of Colleges and Universities General education units from other institutions accredited by the Northwestern Association of Colleges and Universities are transferable towards the Paralegal program here. It is highly recommended that all students who wish to enroll themselves in the paralegal program should first complete courses on Business Law, Introduction to Law and Legal Computer Applications. The Paralegal program at Cerritos Community College is an Associate of Arts degree that has been approved by the American Bar Association since 1986. Courses for the paralegal program at the college may be attended either through day or night classes. They are offered during the Fall, Spring and Summer sessions. During the Fall and Spring sessions, 18-week courses are available. Facilities at Cerritos Community College include a law library and computer labs. All paralegal students need to complete the Introduction to Computerized Legal Software course after which they have to finish a legal computer tutorial as part of their advanced legal course work. This imparts skills on advanced legal software applications that are used at legal offices.
