Description
Casper College is situated in the city of Casper in Wyoming, USA. It was founded in 1945 and is the oldest institution that provides two-year associate degrees in the state. The college is publicly supported and has around 4,000 full and part-time students on its rolls. It offers students more than 50 associate degree programs and 30 one-year certificate programs through eight academic divisions. The current campus of Casper College consists of 28 buildings on 200 acres of land at the base of Casper Mountain. The college is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. One of the popular courses here is the program on Paralegal Studies. This program is approved by the American Bar Association. Casper College offers two degrees in the Paralegal field – an Associate of Arts and an Associate in Applied Sciences. Both these degrees prepare students to transfer to bachelor programs. The paralegal courses available at the college equip students with legal research skills, fact investigation skills, drafting legal documents and computer assisted legal research skills. Other than this, the college also provides a post bachelor's Legal Assistant Certificate. After completing the course, students are encouraged to sit for the Certified Legal Assistant Exam that is offered three times a year. Review courses that help students prepare for this exam are also offered at the college. Students are also provided job placement through job search seminars and internships.
