Description

California State University East End is situated in the city of Hayward in California, USA. It offers more than 50 certificate courses in fields such as behavioral health and science, business, computer science, education, engineering, legal and real estate management. The small class sizes at the college allow for personal instruction, mentoring and coaching.

Students who wish to be admitted to the Paralegal Studies certificate program ofCalifornia State University East End should have completed at least 80 quarter units of academic college credit. Of these 80 units, 27 must be from at least three areas of liberal studies. The total cost of the program is estimated to be $5,772. The course may be financed with education loans through SLM Financial, a Sallie Mae company.

Students must complete 11 courses which consist of nine required courses; one elective course and an internship to earn their Paralegal Studies certificate. This must be done within two years from the start date of the course. A "C" grade or above is required for a class to count towards the certificate. Students with no previous legal experience must attend the Introduction to Paralegalism seminar.

The paralegal program is divided into five semesters. Classes for this course are held at three California State University East Bay locations – Hayward Hills, Concord and downtown Oakland. The course is approved by the American Bar Association, American Association for Paralegal Education and the National Association of Legal Assistants.
